Benny Rietveld

Benny Rietveld is a bass player, producer and composer who has played and recorded with legendary artists such as Miles Davis, Santana, and Sheila E., as well as John Lee Hooker, Michel Legrand, Zucchero, Dave Matthews, Rob Thomas and many others.

Benny has received 9 Grammy Awards for his performances with Santana, playing on hits such as 'Smooth' and 'Game Of Love'. He appears in the seminal rap film Krush Groove, the Warner Brothers video Miles In Paris, and has made numerous appearances on Late Night With David Letterman, Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Later With Jools Holland and dozens of other music and award shows.

He completed his first film score for Brooklyn Rules in 2007, and released his first solo CD, Mystery Of Faith in 2002 - featuring Carlos Santana, Tom Coster and Barbara Higbie. He is currently touring and recording with Carlos Santana, and working on other solo audio and video releases.
