Welcome to my channel. I enjoy turning all different kinds of hardwoods. I like mixing different woods together in different patterns. I also like to turn wood that I find in the forest. Burl, roots, stumps, and logs all have their own particular character. Most of the time, I have no idea what shape a piece will have until it’s being cut on the lathe. The wood seems to dictate the form and shape it takes. I love the feel of a lathe tool in my hands cutting and shaping wood spinning on a lathe. The grain patterns that appear while turning wood never cease to amaze me.
